Jerusalem – The Gateway to Heaven
Discover why Jerusalem is the place where Heaven and Earth meet and Torah flows to the world.
Service Description
As we prepare for Rosh Hashanah, join us for a fascinating journey through the heart of Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish people and the city our sages describe as the meeting place of Heaven and Earth. Beginning at Jaffa Gate, we will enter the Old City and explore thousands of years of Jewish history, faith, and destiny. Walking through the Jewish Quarter, along the ancient Cardo and the remains of the Broad Wall from the First Temple period, we will discover how Jerusalem became the spiritual center of the Jewish world. From the rooftops of the Old City, we will enjoy breathtaking views of Har HaBayit and explore one of the most profound questions in Jewish thought: Why was Jerusalem chosen as the place where the Divine Presence rests among the Jewish people? Together we will examine the prophetic vision: "כִּי מִצִּיּוֹן תֵּצֵא תוֹרָה" "From Zion shall Torah go forth." What makes Jerusalem unique? Why do Jews throughout the world turn towards this city in prayer? How does Jerusalem connect Heaven and Earth? And why does Torah continue to emanate from Zion to this very day? This tour is designed to deepen your understanding of Jerusalem while helping prepare spiritually for the Yamim Noraim. Through the landscapes, archaeology, history, and Torah of Jerusalem, the verses of Tanach will come alive before your eyes. Sites Visited • Jaffa Gate • Old City Rooftops • Jewish Quarter • Broad Wall • Cardo • Overlook of Har HaBayit
